Golf Cake Pops

Golf Anyone????

Task: Make 100 Golf Pops for School Golf Tournament Fundraiser!

No Problem, right?

Inspired by this picture and very cute blog post:
I set out to make 100 golf balls with indents.

Of course, if you are like me and you are a busy mom nothing every works out as planned.

I could not find this golf mold anywhere in my neck of the woods and had no time to order one.

What to do????

After my initial panic... and realization that what I had planned was not an option, I had to regroup.

I decided that I would do white balls and tie a golf tee to the pops with ribbon in our school's colors to make up for the lack of indents.

I also needed to provide a display so I got a large styrofoam base and spray painted it a darker grass green (I bought the green styrofoam).  So easy, took less than 10 minutes!

I made the putting green from a piece of flat felt.

The flag also very easy.  I used blue craft paper and printed out our schools emblem and pasted on a wood stick!  Super fast and easy!

Balloons always add so much fun to any event,  bought 3 in our school colors and attached them to the flag!

So here is what you'll need:

Golf Tees,
Clear Candy Bags
Curling Ribbon
White Candy Melts
Cake Pop Dough
Styrofoam
Stick
Paper for flag
Emblem & glue
Green Spray Paint

Make your balls.

Chill and Dip!

And best of all it was all for a good cause!!!

Go SFXP!

  1. I am Viktoria from Greece. I would like to make cake pops for my daughter's christening. And I have some questions. How should I store the ready cake pops? Do I have to put them in the fridge? How long the can be stored? I must make them at least one maybe two days before the christening. Is it ok? Thank you for your help! I love your blog, you gave me a lot of ideas!
